What book can we name that has continually proven itself historically and archaeologically accurate? This book has assisted scientifically and historically in findings and discoveries even in our day. Also adding to this, the bibles accuracy in predicting future events and the uncovering of facts stands 100% alone.
No other faith based, religious or scientific book has ever even dared to make this claim.
None except the bible. It stands by itself. Now do you see why the Humanists(evolutionists etc.) are vehemently opposed to the bible?
Consider these facts alone and become confident as to WHY you believe what you believe.
Here are six spoken of in the bible that science and religions have now conceded are true. These were all proven in the last 150 years. Four from the Old Testament and two from the New Testament
- The earth was completely covered by water at least once.
- The continents were once a single land mass.
- The earths languages were Not of one origin.
- Communicable diseases can be controlled by separation or isolation.
- Ephesus was a port city. (It currently is inland 4 miles and >100 feet above sea level)
- Worldwide communications would one day be the norm.
There are more we can state however, the point is that NO book of science, history, or religion has ever been able to predict more than one future event with any accuracy except for the Bible.
Now lets look at the scriptures validating these statements.
- The earth as completely covered with water at least once.
Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Genesis 6:17And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
2. The continents were once a single land mass.
Genesis 10:25 And unto Eber were two sons born: the name of one was Peleg;for in his days the lands were divided.
3. The earths languages were NOT of ONE origin But they were from one location then scattered around the world. Scientists archeologists, psychologists anthropologists agree that they cannot determine a single source for the languages spoken around the world. The only common conclusion is that language is related to culture. Very true and that is all they will ever find.
Genesis 11:9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
4. Leviticus 11:24
You will make yourself unclean by these; whoever touches a carcasses will be unclean till evening.
Describes bodily discharges from disease and how to avoid others getting the same thing.
5. Ephesus was a port city
Acts 18:18-21 Paul sailed in to and out of Ephesus. If you visit Ephesus today, the Sea is 4 miles away. If you take the tour they will show you where the synagogue stood, the library, the amphitheater and the port. All referenced in the New Testament. Ephesus is approximately 100 feet above sea level. At different points around the world, we can clearly see that the Ocean levels were 100-150 feet higher than today. This is within the time period that Jesus walked the earth(2000 yrs ago). We have evidence in Alaska, and Greenland of fishing villages at elevations of 100-150 feet above the current ocean.
6. World Wide communications
The whole earth will gloat over the two Prophets that were killed and people from every nation will gaze upon their bodies.
Circular arguments of the week.
There are some really great preachers that can prove theologically that the bible, both Old and New Testament, are not only true but relevant for today. Wonderful! Then you or your children head off to college and nearly every college or university will challenge you and your beliefs. The professors understand one thing, Christians, Jews, Muslims and fill in the blank, are taking most of what they believe at face value. Because someone told them and they cannot prove or defend their. That makes all of them easy disciples for humanism. The real problem with the rational behind Humanism is that they cannot account for the effects of Sin on mankind.
The circular arguments of Humanism seam to be the same circular arguments Christians, Jews and Muslims use. You hear things like, because I know. Humanism and evolution have never been and never will be proven true. Life did not magically appear and true scientists, that do not take sides, will admit to that. Can change over time exist? Yes. If an African American marries an Irish American, you will see some change in one generation. If you breed foxes in captivity, by the third generation you cannot identify them as foxes. The only change was their environment. Take the same foxes and re-release them into the wild. Again within three generations they will appear as the first foxes did, prior to captivity. This has all been observed in controlled scientific studies. Humanist Scientists do not want you to know that. Their version of evolution is predicated on enormous amounts of time. Then again the foxes do not become squirrels either. They (humanist Scientists) should not be taken seriously in the discussion of the origin of man.
Then again the Humanist will argue that Christianity never has been and never will be proven. Not True! They choose to ignore the truth. You can use the proofs stated earlier about the bible as well as societal outcomes. A society that honors the ten commandments is provably more stable and enjoyable for everyone. People who are generous tend to be happier. The longest living, in every society worldwide, are those in heterosexual marriages. Both the man and the woman out live the average single male or female and those in same sex relationships by 18 years. The proof of Godly living is endless. This works for those not professing Christianity or any kind of religious affiliation. Humanists in heterosexual marriages will see the same extended lifetime. In most cases, it is not the belief that matters, it is the action. If that action aligns with biblical standards, the actions will receive the results as outlined in scripture.
When challenging their faith (Humanism) I have the discussion with many of them by saying, we all believe the ten commandments. This seams irritating to them and of course they argue the point. Then I ask the question about stealing. Do you mind if someone steals from you? Of course they say they do mind. I go one by one until we talk about the first one. Love the Lord Your God with all your heart mind soul and strength. That is their issue with the ten commandments. They do not want to be told that Sin is wrong. They equate demand not to Sin with acknowledging that God is real. Therefore they agree with the ten commandments as long as the first commandment is referring to them. The other ten commandants protect them from others sinning against them. The first commandment requires that they stop sinning against others.
Ultimately that is what humanism is all about. Being God! And by being God you set the rules for your behavior. After all, if mankind evolved by the survival of the fittest, then lets just openly eliminate the week and strengthen us all. Of course that would include them if they happen to be the week. So when you ask a humanist if we should have laws against murder they agree with the nine commandments. The nine commandments protect them so that they can be the guardian of the first commandment.
That is the circular argument they bludgeon college students with. If you know why you believe what you believe, you should come out of those environments stronger. Their science books have NOTHING on the bible. They are defenseless against the truth the bible has held for millennia.
That is why they can only pick on the weak. After all, it is the survival of the fittest and they can only hope you stay weak. When challenged, let them have it, but let them have it in the Love of Christ! Have pity on the weak especially those who don't know just how weak they are. Remember how lost you were and the things you believed.
Now that you know Why you believe what you believe, lets move onto What to believe. The foundations separate Christianity from every other religion and cult known to mankind.
