Hebrews 6:1 states we should leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of Repentance from acts that lead to death, and of Faith in God, instruction about Baptisms, the Laying on of hands, the Resurrection of the Dead, and Eternal Judgment. Now the Milk of the Word.
Love is a huge part of Jesus' s foundation according to Matthew 22: 36 – 40. Romans 13:10 says love never does harm.
The definition of a foundation is the basis upon which a thing stands, is founded, or is supported. So now what are we going to build? We need to be careful what we are to build according to 1 Corinthians 3:10 that we build no other foundation that Jesus Christ already laid for us. From Matthew 7:24, Jesus says those who hear His Words and puts them into practice, is like a man building his house on a solid rock foundation, and will be safe when storms hit.
Matthew 7:21 Jesus states only people who do the will of My Father in Heaven will enter Heaven. Jesus also states in Luke 14:28 that if you don’t count the cost and build a tower and lay a foundation and don’t finish it, this man will be ridiculed.
1 Timothy 4:1 The Holy Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Timothy 2:14 states we should be warned before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."
Hebrews 5:11 states we have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn. In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's Word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone, who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
Now lets take the foundations one at a time and in the order they are presented.
