STRUCTURE OF THE CHURCH as stated in the New Testament

So now let’s go on to the Foundation of the Church- The bride of Christ:

HEBREWS 13: 8 says Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
NUMBERS 23: 19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
EPHESIANS 2: 19,20 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.
EPHESIANS 4: 11,12 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up
1 CORINTHIANS 12: 28 And God has placed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of various kinds of tongues
EPHESIANS 3:4-6 In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets. This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.
MALACHI 4: 5,6 See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with destruction.

MATTHEW 16: 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock of revelation I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

Luke 11:49 Because of this, God in His wisdom said.'I will send them Prophets and Apostles,

AMOS 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealed his secret unto his servants the prophets

ISAIAH 40: 3 A voice of one calling:
“In the wilderness prepare
the way for the Lord[a];
make straight in the desert
a highway for our God
MARK 7: 1-13 The Pharisees and some of the teachers of the law who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus and saw some of his disciples eating food with hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed. (The Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to the tradition of the elders. When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles. [a]) So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, “Why don’t your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with defiled hands?” He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’ You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.” And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God to observe[c] your own traditions! For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and mother, ‘and, ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death. ‘But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is Corban (that is, devoted to God) then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother. Thus, you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.”
MATTHEW 23: 25-39 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean. “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside, are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. 28 In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside, you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness. “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous. And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ So, you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets. Go ahead, then, and complete what your ancestors started! “You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? Therefore, I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. And so, upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. Truly I tell you, all this will come on this generation. “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate. For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord

So, God has appointed some in the church for his own use first apostles second prophets thirdly
Teachers then wonder workers then those with ability to those who heal the sick helpers administrators speakers in unknown tongues
Revelation 18:20 separates Apostles and Prophets from the bride of Christ.
A few points God appoints the people not man God puts the title not man
What’s a benefit to having these people?
Ephesians 4: 12-14 God’s intention was the perfecting and full equipping of saints (his consecrated people) That they should do the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church)
Ephesians 4: 13 states that the goal is that we be united like in acts 1:14 where they are united in prayer and discussing apostle’s doctrine and waiting for the promise that Jesus gave the Holy Spirit
Ephesians 4:14 says that we be no longer like children tossed to and fro by wind of doctrine
This reminds me of Hebrews 5:11-14 pretty much God doesn’t want us to be children on milk so with our appointed men by god we won’t
Mark 7: 7-9 States that when we follow the ways and commandments of men, we nullify the commandments and Kingdom of God. So, the Holy Spirit is grieved and thus no signs and wonders. Having the offices set up by God and following that keeps us following the commandments of God.

So what do these roles look like?

Apostle: Anointed one to establish the New Testament Church. They are earmarked by signs and wonders. They appoint and anoint those who work in the local church. Established sound doctrine in the Church

Luke 11:49 Because of this, God in His wisdom said.'I will send them Prophets and Apostles,

Prophet:  No indication that their role has changed from the Old Testament. They are to hear the word of The Lord for the church. They are to warn and sometimes expose. They are the two lamp stands found in revelations calling down fire and stopping the rain. They are who God speaks to before He does anything on the earth. In the church setting, their are the ones commissioned to speak.

Evangelist: Anointed preacher and commissioned outside the Church structure to spread the Gospel.

Pastor: Cares for the flock(believers). Also referred to as an overseer. The first to chase a wondering sheep. They are called solely to serve and care for people.

A lot of people use Timothy as an example of a Pastor. He was not a Pastor, he was referred to by Paul the Apostle as an Apostle.

Teacher: One who expounds on the established written word

There are more however it should be noted that Jesus was foretelling an action God the Father revealed by wisdom. The sending of the Prophet and the Apostle. in the New Testament they tended to work together.
